The well-known launch site for space rockets Cape Canaveral is located in Florida. The highest point of the state of Florida is Britton Hill with 105 meters height, which is the lowest highest elevation of all states in the USA. South of the state's mainland are the more than 200 islands of the Florida Keys. This tropical island chain is almost 300 kilometers long and is largely connected by a road, the Overseas Highway.
