Jesus

Jesus, also known as Jesus Christ, is a central figure in Christianity and is considered by Christians to be the son of God and the Messiah. According to Christian teachings, he was born in Bethlehem, Judea, around 4 to 6 B.C. His mother was the Virgin Mary, and his earthly father was Joseph. The Gospels of the New Testament, particularly Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John, provide accounts of Jesus' life, teachings, miracles, crucifixion, and resurrection.

Jesus' teachings emphasized love, compassion, and forgiveness. He is often regarded as a moral and spiritual leader, emphasizing the importance of humility and service to others. The Sermon on the Mount, found in the Gospel of Matthew, contains some of the core ethical teachings attributed to Jesus.

Christians believe that through his sacrificial death, Jesus atoned for the sins of humanity, providing a path to salvation.
