The Seven Wonders of the World

The Seven Wonders of the World were magnificent buildings and statues from ancient times. Five of the Seven Wonders of the World were built by the ancient Greeks. The other two were the Pyramids of Giza in Ancient Egypt and the Hanging Gardens of Babylon in present-day Iraq.
Of these wonders of the world, only one still stands, the Pyramids of Giza in Egypt. What the other wonders of the world looked like is known today at best from descriptions, i.e. from texts. Pictures from those days have long since disappeared.
